For nearly 30 years, the Trout Lake Arts Council (TLAC) has been dedicated to fostering and promoting the arts in the Mid-Columbia region. Established in 1996, TLAC began with an art and wine festival, a beloved event that ran successfully for over a decade. Over time, the Council has evolved to support a wide range of artistic disciplines, providing opportunities for local artists to showcase their work and engage with the community.

Today, TLAC hosts a variety of annual and pop-up events designed to enrich the local arts scene. Pop-up art events provide regional artists with opportunities to promote and sell their work, creating a direct connection between artists and the community. The Council also organizes a community-wide writing showcase that celebrates authors from diverse literary backgrounds, including poets, novelists, and comic book creators. In addition to these artistic showcases, TLAC holds fundraising concerts and events as needed to support specific community projects that align with its mission.

TLAC is guided by a dedicated board composed of educators, business owners, artists, art enthusiasts, and parents, all committed to fostering a thriving artistic environment in the Mid-Columbia region. The current board members are Laurie Sherburne (Chair), Carolyn Wilhelm (Vice Chair), Nina Pochna (Treasurer), Camden McMahon (Secretary) Sarah Arnold (At Large) , Kira Fogerty (At Large) and Laura Doctor (At Large).

The mission of the Trout Lake Arts Council is to promote the arts and artists of the Mid-Columbia region by providing a forum for artistic expression, development, and community engagement. Through its events and advocacy, TLAC continues to be a driving force in nurturing creativity and artistic appreciation within the region.
